As our 2023-2024 Season comes to a close we are raising 15k FOR NEW PLAYS by South Florida playwrights.

The first two productions of our 2024-2025 Season, Short Plays: Lauder Made and The Last Christmas, will feature completely original work from South Florida playwrights!

Each New City Players main stage production costs between 40-55k and ticket sales only cover 25-30% of those budgets. Due to the recent arts and culture veto from the Florida Governor, New City Players lost $10,721 in expected funding for our next season...let's make up that difference and then some!

Your donation gives local playwrights the platform for their works to be produced and enriches the cultural landscape of our community by covering the following production expenses for our next two projects:

-venue rentals ($7100)
-sets, costumes, props ($3500)
-licensing rights ($2400)
-lighting and sound design ($2000)

“I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.”
-Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire

Our mission is to create community through transformative theatre.
Our vision is to help South Florida become a more empathetic and thoughtful community.
